MULTIMEDIA STORYTELLER, DOCUMENTARIAN, COMMUNITY NEWS WEBSITEÂ CREATOR, INTERNATIONALIST, JOURNALISM EDUCATOR
I am a social justice storyteller at heart who has worked in international radio across several continents, now turning to independent documentary filmmaking, community engagement websites including the street collective Our Town Reno, podcast production, and university teaching. Journalistic videos, behind the scenes snippets and mini documentaries I’ve done for two YouTube channels have garnered over 1.5 million views, while I’ve won awards for bravery as a conflict journalist in West Africa, as a cinematographer for documentary films based in the United States and as a university journalism instructor.
My specialties include Adobe Audition and Premiere, broadcast voicing and news writing, news and web video, radio, podcasting, short and long form, feature and breaking news, with a quick grasp of international affairs, a quick adaptability to new cultures, and abilities to coordinate large teams of professional and student multimedia newsrooms.

I can work in English and French, while I understand and read Spanish, and have basic speaking abilities in Bahasa Indonesia. I have been a teacher at many different levels in different cultures for news writing, reporting, broadcast and multimedia web production, both local and international.

In terms of my current teaching, at the University of Nevada, Reno, where I am a Lecturer of Digital Media, I created new classes for web video, audio and podcasting, popup newsrooms, international and cross-cultural reporting as well as independent practicums. Part of my responsibilities also include managing the Reynolds Media Lab, with student journalism output as well as multimedia work for external clients.
